No referral is required. You can book a direct appointment through this website, or by calling the chamber phone number. If you have a referral letter or prior prescription, please bring it along — it helps Dr. Ahmad understand your history faster.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR) is the medical specialty that restores function and relieves pain — without surgery wherever possible. An interventional physiatrist uses precise, image-guided injections (ultrasound or fluoroscopy), regenerative therapies and structured rehabilitation. Orthopaedic surgeons focus primarily on operative treatment; PMR doctors treat the same problems first with non-surgical, evidence-based methods.
Back, neck and joint pain, arthritis (knee, hip, shoulder), sciatica and disc problems, frozen shoulder, tennis/golfer's elbow, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, post-stroke and post-fracture rehabilitation, paralysis (including Bell's palsy and facial palsy), spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinsonian gait, post-COVID weakness, and chronic pain syndromes. See the Services page for the full list.
A general physician usually prescribes pain medication and refers you on. Dr. Ahmad combines accurate diagnosis (clinical exam + ultrasound/MRI review), image-guided interventions that target the exact source of pain, and a personalized rehab plan so the relief lasts. The goal is root-cause treatment, not just symptom control.
For acute emergencies (sudden severe trauma, suspected stroke, loss of consciousness) please go directly to your nearest hospital emergency. Dr. Ahmad's chambers handle scheduled consultations for pain, rehabilitation, and post-emergency follow-up — including stroke recovery and post-fracture rehab once you are medically stable.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) uses a small sample of your own blood. The platelets — which carry your body's natural healing factors — are concentrated and injected under ultrasound guidance directly into the damaged joint, tendon or ligament. Because it uses your own tissue, allergic or rejection reactions are extremely rare. Most patients return to normal activity the same day, with peak benefit typically seen between 6 and 12 weeks.
Regenerative medicine treats the cause, not just the symptom. Prolotherapy uses a dextrose solution to stimulate ligament and tendon healing. Stem-cell-based therapies provide cellular building blocks to repair cartilage and soft tissue. NAD+ supports cellular energy and recovery — used especially in chronic fatigue and post-COVID rehabilitation. Dr. Ahmad selects the right protocol based on your diagnosis, age and goals.
Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream or local anesthetic is used before the injection, so most patients describe the sensation as a brief pinch or pressure. General anesthesia is not required — you stay awake, comfortable, and can usually walk out of the chamber within 15–20 minutes of the procedure.
It depends on the condition. Simple soft-tissue problems (tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis) often need 1–2 sessions. Knee osteoarthritis usually responds in a series of 2–3 PRP sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Complex rehabilitation cases — post-stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy — follow a structured weekly plan over several months. Dr. Ahmad will give you a clear timeline and expected outcomes after the first consultation.
In the majority of cases — no surgery is needed. Dr. Ahmad's practice is built around non-surgical, evidence-based interventions. Even patients told they "need a knee replacement" or "need a disc surgery" often regain function with the right combination of image-guided injections, regenerative therapy and rehabilitation. If surgery truly is the best option for you, you will be told clearly and referred to a trusted surgeon.
Many patients feel partial relief within the first 48–72 hours, especially for nerve-related pain or fresh soft-tissue injuries. With PRP and regenerative therapies, the real tissue healing happens over 4–12 weeks, so peak improvement is gradual. For rehab cases (stroke, paralysis, post-surgery), measurable gains usually appear week by week with consistent therapy.

Three easy ways: (1) click "Book Now" on this website and pick a chamber & time; (2) call the chamber number directly; or (3) message via WhatsApp. We confirm within a few hours during business time and send a reminder before your slot.
Please bring: any previous prescriptions, all imaging reports and films (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound), recent blood tests, a list of current medications, and a brief written timeline of your symptoms (when it started, what makes it worse/better). For chronic conditions, bringing a family member can help — they often remember details patients forget.
Consultation fees vary slightly between chambers. Please call the specific chamber before your visit for the current fee. Procedure costs (PRP, ultrasound-guided injections, regenerative therapy) depend on the joint involved and the protocol used — a written estimate is provided after the initial consultation, before any procedure is scheduled.
Yes — for follow-up visits, reviewing reports, and consultations from outside Bangladesh. New patients still benefit from at least one in-person visit so Dr. Ahmad can examine the affected area and review imaging in person. Request a video slot through the contact form or WhatsApp.
Yes. Please inform the chamber at least a few hours before your scheduled time so the slot can be offered to another patient. Same-day cancellations are accommodated when possible, but earlier notice always helps us serve everyone better.
